Back to Thailand: first trip to Asia in two years

We’re back off to Asia for the first time in two years, when I was last travelling across South East Asia pre-Covid. This trip will be very different though, with no hopping between different countries and a completely new arrivals experience.

Here’s what to expect on my first experience of long haul travel for quite a while:

  • Navigating THAILAND PASS - your key to get into Thailand in 2022

  • Check list for travel to Thailand

  • Review of Singapore Airlines’s low cost airline Scoot flying in Scoot in Silence Economy Class from London Gatwick to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. This will be on their inaugural flight for this route.

  • How does Test & Go work?

  • Hotel reviews including:

    • St Regis Bangkok

    • Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River

    • Cape Fahn Hotel, Koh Samui

    • Amari Koh Samui

    • Okura Prestige Bangkok

  • Bangkok Airways Domestic Economy Class review from Bangkok to Koh Samui

  • Snapshot: Food across the trip.

  • Review of Scoot’s ScootPlus offering from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to London Gatwick

  • Lounge review at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (depending on opening times/availability)

I’ll be tackling this trip a little differently in how I review it this time. Instead of pushing out the review sporadically, I will push out different elements of this trip once per week beginning in the new year. This article will then be updated with the relevant link to each element.

As a note, I’ve already published a number of articles relating to this trip including:

Any reviews for parts that have been funded by a third party will be clearly displayed on the top of the respective articles.

I can’t wait to share this exciting trip with you, let’s just hope Thailand stays off the UK’s red list roulette!
