Looking forward to 2024
Hi there!
I’ve been very quiet on this blog recently, for which I apologise. Life has been really busy but I’ve a few exciting updates on the plan going forward.
Leaving Etihad
As you may or may not know, i joined Etihad in November 2022 based in the London office for marketing. While the perks were great, the role was, on reflection, not the right fit for my career progression and aspirations. In October 2023, I made the difficult decision to leave at the end of 2023.
No, I’m not about to become a full time blogger. I enjoy the security and benefits of full time work to do something like that. In January, I’ll be joining a major global bank to work on B2B marketing - a bit of an industry change but with a similar focus and better career progression while staying in the South East of England.
What’s happening with CallumElsdon.com?
There will be a lot and, admittedly, I’ve been slacking. The primary deliverable will be to begin publishing two-times weekly on this website once again - which is easily done providing I time myself correctly.
I’ll still be doing frequent articles for Turning Left For Less too, usually about twice per month depending on if my content is suitable for Michele’s site.
There’s two missing jigsaw pieces for the blog. The first is social, where I am pitiful at consistently posting to and posting relevant content. My priority is to upload content consistently with the articles posted.
Second is video content - both short form, i.e. TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and long form, basically YouTube. On the former, I will try to build up a combination of short reviews of hotels and airlines as well as bitesized information videos. For long form, it will just be a regular upload schedule - aiming for a minimum of one video per month - in order to get the channel up to 1000 subscribers.
There are many trips over the past 18 months which are still outstanding to review, including Philippines thrice, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Bali, Canada, France, Serbia and more. I can’t wait to share all this with you!
Thank you for supporting me
This isn’t a call for being a Patreon, nor for monetary input. I just want to say thanks for reading this website and for supporting me on social and YouTube.
